Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged contracts worth ₹11,000 crore from Adani Power and its subsidiary Mahan Energen Ltd. The projects include the supply, erection, and commissioning of supercritical thermal power equipment for three power plants in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

The Kawai Phase-II (49 months) and Phase-III (52 months) projects in Rajasthan, along with the Mahan Phase-III project (55 months) in Madhya Pradesh, will each add 2×800 MW to India’s energy grid.

This deal underscores BHEL’s leadership in power generation technology and its pivotal role in advancing India’s energy infrastructure, balancing traditional thermal capacity with emerging clean energy demands.
